For garden centres and farm shops

A whole afternoon of browsing, and a screen by the café.

People spend hours at a garden centre or a farm shop — wandering, lunching, loading the car. Show them what is in season, the café lunches, the workshops and the Christmas grotto, and let local trades pay to reach homeowners with a garden.

Free to join, free to run your garden centre screens. You only pay if you want to advertise on someone else’s.

On a garden centre screen

What you would actually put on it.

Visitors browse for an hour or more, often with a stop in the café, and many come back most weekends.

What is in season

The bulbs to plant now, the bedding plants, the fruit trees. Photographs of what is on the benches this week.

The café

Your QR menu on the board by the café queue, and the soup of the day typed from your phone.

Workshops and events

Wreath-making, children's planting days, the grotto — with a QR code on the poster for bookings.

The weather for the week

A free live forecast for your postcode. Exactly what a gardener wants to know before buying.

And it earns

Almost everyone at a garden centre has a home with a garden, and that is an audience plenty of local trades would pay for.

Landscapers, builders, window firms and holiday cottages want it, and you approve every advert.

Who wants your room: Landscapers and tree surgeons, builders and roofers, window and conservatory firms, local holiday cottages, farm shops and markets, and heritage attractions.

  • 70% is yours

You set the price per play and 70% of it reaches you. There is nothing else to pay — no subscription, no listing fee, no hardware.

  • Only real plays count

A play pays out only if the screen was on, visible and verified. Nobody is billed for a dark screen.

  • 10p in, 10p out

A credit is worth the same whether you buy it or cash it out. Withdraw from 500 credits.

Do the sum

What would a garden centre screen earn?

Opens on the hours and the price a garden centre actually trades at, and on a quiet week rather than a good one.

Your screen

9h

Trading hours, not opening hours. A screen nobody is looking at earns nothing, and the player knows the difference.

1

This is the honest unknown, and it is about demand rather than your loop — which could carry about 91 an hour at 30%. It starts on quiet on purpose.

3credits · £0.30 a play

You set this, and you can change it whenever you like.

The rest of the loop stays yours. This sets the ceiling, not the demand.

You would earn, roughly

£57.50 a month

The same screen, three ways

An estimate, not an offer. You are paid only for plays the screen proves — an advert of about 10s with a signed token and a heartbeat showing the screen was awake and in view. The same advertiser cannot play twice within 40 seconds or more than 40 times an hour on your screen, so busy hours need several advertisers, not one repeated. Several TVs showing one loop count as one play — you price the set.

On the wall

How it looks in garden centres and farm shops.

The screen in each of these is the real DisplayCircle player, laid over the television in the photograph.

Questions

What garden centres and farm shops ask.

Our site is spread out.

Pair a screen wherever people gather — the tills, the café, the entrance — and give each its own loop. One account runs them all.

Will it clash with a rural feel?

It shows whatever you upload. A garden centre running photographs of its own plants and a weather card reads as a good display, not as advertising.

We are seasonal.

So is the loop. Change it from your phone when the season turns, and switch the Christmas cards on and off without anyone going up a ladder.

Another trade?
