For petrol stations and forecourt shops

Every driver who pays at the till walks past this screen.

A forecourt shop sees a steady stream of people all day, and every one of them queues at the till. Sell the coffee, the meal deal and the car wash from the screen behind the counter — and let local businesses pay to reach the drivers.

Free to join, free to run your forecourt screens. You only pay if you want to advertise on someone else’s.

On a forecourt screen

What you would actually put on it.

Visits are short but the flow is constant, from early morning until late at night.

Coffee and the meal deal

A good photograph of the cup and the price, at the moment people are deciding whether to add something.

The car wash

Prices and programmes, so drivers decide on the wash before they reach the counter.

Opening hours and services

Night-window hours, air and water, parcel collection — plain notice cards you type from your phone.

Weather for the road

A free live forecast for your postcode. Worth a glance before a long drive.

And it earns

A forecourt shop is a high-traffic room: short visits, all day, from people who drive.

Garages, valeters, driving instructors and local takeaways want exactly those people, and you approve every advert.

Who wants your room: Independent garages and tyre fitters, valeters, driving instructors, takeaways and cafés on the same road, local events, and firms recruiting drivers.

  • 70% is yours

You set the price per play and 70% of it reaches you. There is nothing else to pay — no subscription, no listing fee, no hardware.

  • Only real plays count

A play pays out only if the screen was on, visible and verified. Nobody is billed for a dark screen.

  • 10p in, 10p out

A credit is worth the same whether you buy it or cash it out. Withdraw from 500 credits.

Do the sum

What would a forecourt screen earn?

Opens on the hours and the price a forecourt actually trades at, and on a quiet week rather than a good one.

Your screen

16h

Trading hours, not opening hours. A screen nobody is looking at earns nothing, and the player knows the difference.

1

This is the honest unknown, and it is about demand rather than your loop — which could carry about 91 an hour at 30%. It starts on quiet on purpose.

3credits · £0.30 a play

You set this, and you can change it whenever you like.

The rest of the loop stays yours. This sets the ceiling, not the demand.

The same screen, three ways

An estimate, not an offer. You are paid only for plays the screen proves — an advert of about 10s with a signed token and a heartbeat showing the screen was awake and in view. The same advertiser cannot play twice within 40 seconds or more than 40 times an hour on your screen, so busy hours need several advertisers, not one repeated. Several TVs showing one loop count as one play — you price the set.

On the wall

How it looks in petrol stations and forecourt shops.

The screen in each of these is the real DisplayCircle player, laid over the television in the photograph.

Questions

What petrol stations and forecourt shops ask.

We are open through the night.

The screen earns for as long as it is on and visible, so a forecourt with a night window earns through the night too — which is why the earnings calculator opens on longer hours here than for most rooms.

Can it show our fuel prices?

As a notice card you update when the price changes; it is not connected to the pumps. Many forecourts leave the prices on the totem and use the screen to sell the shop.

What about age-restricted products?

You approve every advert before it plays. Tobacco cannot be advertised at all, and anything else age-restricted should only go on the screen if you would put it on a poster in the same spot.

Another trade?
